At HKUGA College, we recently conducted a remote learning session that demonstrated a new way to enhance hands-on teaching. Instead of having a single instructor present in the classroom, our approach allowed multiple on-site staff members to focus on guiding students step by step, ensuring everyone successfully completed the tasks.
By leveraging a remote presentation, our team in Hong Kong was able to provide direct support to students, assisting with hands-on procedures, troubleshooting, and personalized guidance. This method not only maximized engagement but also ensured that no student was left behind in the learning process.
This model of instruction is particularly effective for STEAM-based activities, where hands-on practice is essential. With more facilitators available to assist, students can confidently follow each step of the process, apply their learning, and achieve better outcomes.
Our experience at HKUGAC highlights the benefits of combining remote instruction with in-person support. As we continue to explore innovative teaching methods, we look forward to refining this approach and expanding its use in future workshops.
